1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Anchored At Home ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this Service.

2. Pilot Program — Free Access

Anchored At Home is currently operating as a free pilot program. During this phase, all features are provided at no cost, subject to the following:

• •Free access may be suspended, modified, or revoked at any time, with or without notice, at our sole discretion.
• •Free access does not constitute a guarantee of perpetual or uninterrupted service.
• •We reserve the right to transition to a paid subscription model at any time, with advance notice to users.
• •Features and functionality may change without notice as we improve the platform.

3. Subscriptions

When Anchored At Home transitions to a paid model, subscriptions will be subject to pricing and billing terms specified at the time of purchase, including monthly or annual billing cycles, and cancellation and refund policies as specified in the subscription agreement.

4. Compass AI Assistant

Anchored At Home includes an AI assistant called Compass, powered by third-party AI providers (currently Google Gemini or Groq). By using Compass, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• •Compass is for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not a licensed attorney, accountant, therapist, or medical professional.
• •Compass responses do not constitute legal, tax, financial, medical, or mental health advice.
• •State homeschool law summaries provided by Compass are general guidance only — always verify current requirements with your state's homeschool association or HSLDA.
• •Compass may make mistakes. Always apply your own judgment and consult licensed professionals for important decisions.
• •Your conversations with Compass are stored in our database to provide context across sessions. Message content is sent to our AI provider(s) to generate responses. See our Privacy Policy for details.
• •AI-generated content may reflect the limitations of the underlying model, including potential inaccuracies or outdated information.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Anchored At Home is not liable for any decisions made in reliance on AI-generated content from Compass.

5. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:

• •Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• •Keep your password secure and not share it with others.
• •Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• •Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All content provided through the Service — including text, graphics, and software — is the property of Anchored At Home or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reproduce content without express written permission.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account information, child profiles, and conversation history for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page, which will permanently remove your data from our systems. Chat messages sent to AI providers are subject to those providers' data retention policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Anchored At Home shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:

• •Your access to or inability to access or use the Service.
• •Any reliance on AI-generated content, including Compass responses.
• •Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your content.
• •Any conduct or content of any third party on or accessed through the Service.

10. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. We are not liable for any downtime or loss of data.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for any reason including breach of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or discontinuation of the pilot program.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide reasonable notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
